{"id":2947,"date":"2021-05-21T07:27:28","date_gmt":"2021-05-21T13:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lalijean.com\/?p=2947"},"modified":"2021-05-21T07:27:31","modified_gmt":"2021-05-21T13:27:31","slug":"cancel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lalijean.com\/?p=2947","title":{"rendered":"cancel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cancel culture is said to be a type of ostracism in which one is shoved\/forced out of social or professional circles \u2013 online, on social media or in person.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Have you ever been cancelled in a friendship, romantic relationship, religious circle, work environment or&nbsp; familial\/community setting?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is painful to be misunderstood, unheard, devalued&#8230;especially by people you&#8217;ve grown to believe are kind, considerate and genuinely caring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Personally, it&#8217;s even more painful when it happens by religious people&#8230;those who are quick to throw the names of God around as well as those who wear a badge of &#8220;seniority&#8221; in faith communities&#8230;claiming to be &#8220;mature&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mourn the loss of the people who have cut you out (especially those who have done so indirectly&#8230;insidiously) and simultaneously make room to welcome the entry of all who are truly compassionate, empathetic and gentle.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I remind myself <em>as often as I need<\/em> that&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">I will never be cancelled by The Divine <span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>and neither will you, my friend!<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Common Day Hero:<\/strong> <\/em><\/span>You are genuine, tenderhearted, graceful and grace-filled. Your kindness and Light are reaching so many. Glad to know you and call you friend.
